This month is a good time to do some Bible study. Along  with many versions of the Bible, our library 220 section has dictionaries, encyclopedias, concordances, and collected works on Bible people, biography, history, and archaeology.

New books ready to be checked out include:

FROM LITERAL TO LITERACY:
The Essential Reference Book For Biblical Metaphors (James Rowe Adams)...a newly updated edition of a professional reference tool.

LEST WE FORGET:
Meditations At The Meal of Remembrance (Clinton J. Holloway)
...A collection of 75 meditations for use by those leading the congregation during the Lord's Supper.

CENTRAL CASTING:
The Lord's Table At the Heart of Faith
(Glenn Thomas Carson)...A primer for understanding the practice of 'open table' as central to our church's life, by the president of The Disciples of Christ Historical Society.

ALEXANDER CAMPBELL - ADVENTURER IN FREEDOM:
A
Literary Biography. Eva Jean Wrather (1908-2001) spent many years writing a biography of the founder of the Christian Church  (Disciples of Christ). D. Duane Cummins worked with her until her death and then afterwards to complete this three-volume work of Campbell's lifetime of theological doctrine and literary writing.

>There is a display of books about Women In The Bible on the west library wall. <
